vjecht169Customer
Hello all,
I’m sorry, but I’ve been trying on and off for the last few weeks without the forum to get anywhere with the few statements here regarding camera control and have been looking for answers here and on the internet.
However, I can’t get anywhere at all because I don’t have the necessary JS coding skills.
So unfortunately I have to drop the customer request to change the navigation to Google Maps Standard.
Now my question:
Can I, without changing the existing navigation, link the zoom to the +/- buttons, so that I can at least fulfill this one part of the customer request.
https://v3d.net/noiAnd if so it would be great if they could show me a way to implement this with puzzles….
Thanks
vjecht169CustomerHmm that’s very unfortunate …
Xeon meant above that you could use a JavaScript puzzle with various entries integrated into a procedure… what about that ?
I still wouldn’t know how to implement that, but maybe that would be an approach ?
vjecht169CustomerOk, thanks for the answer…
Unfortunately I’am not able to do this with v3d.jsAnd if I limit the navigation change to mouse controls only …
(the first three points above)Is this possible with puzzles and how ?
vjecht169CustomerWow it works…
thanks a lot – you´re great
vjecht169CustomerHello,
I have implemented your suggestions and everything went wonderfully so far.
Thanks again. But now I have the problem that when opening the window via the green area the first time everything works wonderfully. The window remains until I click on X.
The 2nd time I click, the window opens, but does not remain and closes again immediately ?
I have tried many things – also in Webflow – but unfortunately have not come to a result?I hope you can help me -again-

I have already discovered the puzzle – but here I have the problem that the element (help button) in the puzzle is an HTML object…
However, I would like to address a 3D object…
E.g. on event click for “cube”.
do…How could I make this work ?
vjecht169CustomerThe geometry is only there for testing purposes – I have mirrored it 3x ;)

vjecht169CustomerNot perfect but better than nothing )))
https://v3d.net/hrtWow, but ahemm, how did you get the data of my file?
and more important: can you give me also the puzzle?
I tried it with the limit distance but it didn’t work ;)
Perhaps because I’am still a beginner…- This reply was modified 1 year, 7 months ago by vjecht169.
vjecht169CustomerYou can try to limit the max distance between the camera and the center of that big sphere…
Ok thanks a lot, that sounds good, but how can I implement that e.g. with the help of puzzles?
vjecht169CustomerHm, according to the link there is unfortunately no good solution at the moment ?!
So then I guess I should integrate a button ,that automatically resets the camera to the origin – in case someone navigated out….
Now I just have to figure out how ;)
vjecht169Customerthank you – Now it has also worked for my customer :)
vjecht169Customerask them to test your app.
did your customer test any other v3d app with panning?I did that… Thanks for the suggestion :)

vjecht169CustomerHey,
I know this is off-topic but I have the “problem” that my costumer (also a Mac user) can´t pan the in the app on my prototype…
Unfortunately I don’t have a Mac myself to test this on my own, so I can’t test if this is always the case with Mac, or if my customer has a knowledge problem.
Would it be possible for one of the worthy Mac users here to take a quick look…? Thanks :)
Btw. very nice work of the Turin museum !!

vjecht169CustomerOk, thank you for your reply :)
I work with 3dsmax – I found the first shadow map parameter –
where can I adjust the second parameter:
tphotometriclight001.shadowMap – 16384×8192 ?And I only have one light in the scene ?
Regarding the pan mode for Mac – is there a solution / puzzle I don’t know ?
