    Hi,
Thanks for the hhint. I saw it but didn‘t got it until now, but the latest Quest Browser.
Still have this video flickering using Meta Quest 3 Glasses standing in front of the video wall in the test scene mentioned above.
Could you test it with your actual confituration?
If it‘s running with your config, my glasses might have a problem and I need to replace it.

    Thanks Tom

    Hi visualizer

But does the movie flicker on your configuration you have right now?
    https://www.ayashmi.com/video_bug/Video_Bug.html

It’s so strange, it is heavy flickering in the middle upper of the clip, very annoying.

    Hi kdv

    Thanks for testing.
Hmm, this is strange then, maybe I need to perform a factory reset one more time.
Otherwise, I will replace the device.

I have only been working with real-time 3D for a few months, and thanks to Verge3D, I have already been able to implement some very cool solutions. When I compare the page suggestions from Meta regarding WebXR sites in the Meta browser to what I was able to accomplish with Verge3D after just a few weeks, I am very convinced of the Verge3D concept. I hope that future updates will include more very useful tools for VR/AR.

There might be more specialized software for this, but I am convinced that the relatively simple implementation of WebGL on the screen to create immersive experiences is a great feature of Verge3D. That’s why we chose this platform.

    Hi visualier
could you see the flickering with your Meta Quest 3?
It’s a little risky as long we don’t have an equivalent other browser.

Wolvic Chromium Browser which is in early development has good performance, but
it’s antialiasing is terrible. I hope they will match one day the quality of the Meta Browser.
It’s a pitty, we can’t rollback to an earlier version, only factory reset is possible.

    Thanks for testing

    Hi kdv

    thanks for checking.
Did you use a Meta Quest 3 Device?

After I made a factory reset, it was fine again (but oldest Browser-Version).. but after one reboot it updates itself and then the problem is here again.

    Thanks Tom

    Hi Verge3d users

With the latest updates with Meta Quest 3 I have still this damn problem with flickering videos.
It was introduced with a Meta Browser v32 update .
Now I am running Meta Quest V66 and Meta Browser v34.
Meta support is almost full of AI Agents, where support is limited.
Would be cool, if someone could test following link
and confirm or not confirm the bug.

I share the same opinion as Visualizer. I hope for more features for WebXR projects. This topic will quickly gain importance with the increasing availability of AR/VR devices. No other framework allows for such fast and high-quality development for WebXR.

I haven’t been in this field for long, but the possibility of creating a 3D configurator for web use, along with a VR configurator for the showroom, is really cool, and I have several projects in the works regarding this.

V3D should certainly continue to develop its core area, but I see the whole WebXR aspect as very important.

No other workflow allows for creating such complex projects that work on almost any platform so quickly, in combination with Blender or other 3D apps.

    Hi,
For reference you should use Eeve Renderer, because it will look more what it will be in WebGL via Sneak Peak. Have a look in the documents what is supportet (Shader/Lights,Shadows)

    Hi Yuri,

Contacting a human beeing from Meta is a challenge, until now, I always got some
unhelpful advises from an AI – Chatbot who pretends to be a human being.
That’s why I just would like to know, if others also have this problem described above.

    Hi Mikhail,
wow cool, this helps a lot. Maybe you should add this to your material library so new user can find it asap.

I hope I can show you my project when it is going public.

    I probably found another parameter.
VR Glasses have an aspect ratio close to 1:1, so maybe this coudl be a unique parameter for VR-Glasses only.

this service https://codebeautify.org works fine both for minifying and obfuscating.

    Hi kdv

Thanks for the resource, it works !

this also works, but only with Low Option preset you can set in a dropdown menu below the main editor.

In VR mode, things like on hover or on click use a lot of performance if you use 3d objects like cubes or so

Do you experience the same here https://v3d.net/qef?

    Hi kdv

Ah I see, you added the controllers and vibration to it :-) how cool.
The performance in the scene is quite well, drops sometimes to 83 frames.
But I guess, it’s not so intensive like my scene with an animated character and 2 lights.
I just see, if the buttons are out of view it’s nearly constant 90 fps in my scene.

I have never notice any issues with degradation of performance on whenclicks on 3D objects vs 2D objects. You mentioned you have FPS drops when you use 3D objects as buttons?
If you a simple scene with a 3d object and a simple hide object on click….this is causing FPS drops and performance issues? What version of V3D are you using?

    I’m using latest Verge3d 4.6 and Blender 4.1
I have an animated Character in the scene with shape keys for face expression and also hair via
    hair cards.
But even if I disable the keyshape animations, it’s not the thing which it drops the frame rate.
    It’s really the buttons.

here is a puzzle how I puzzled the button funtctions.
