That’s good news! I’m looking forward to the new release.
I also wanted to say that the shading in version 3.1 looks great! It now has this wonderful “sfumato” so everything looks more atmospheric, without losing fine detail (attached screenshot might illustrate what I mean).
Genious! And now, good chance that this look will be kept on iOS devices.
Thanks!
illussimoCustomerBetter physics is great news. I will try it with my Card Deck Theatre.
Does Verge3D installer know automatically to install to that version (as well as others) when I update?
I always use the Linux Verge3D version (without installer) on Windows so I can link different versions of Blender with different versions of Verge3D. I always copy my apps into new versions of Verge3D so I can always go back if necessary. It is a bit more work and you have to keep track of things but if you have enough space on your computer it might be the way to go, especially if you do a lot of Beta testing.
Thanks again to the team for constantly keeping track of new developments and implementing them so quickly.
SimoneillussimoCustomerThanks for for the improvements and the quick bug fixing. It helps all of us to keep on working in the best possible way. Especially now, we all need that.
Best wishes to all and everybody, take care.illussimoCustomerHere are 2 iPad screenshots. Even though the background is softly coloured banding is still visible.
illussimoCustomerSorry, I thought I only needed to add the value nodes if I want to address them with puzzles. Now that I have added the value nodes, all works fine.
Thanks!illussimoCustomerWhen you switched to a new V3D version you have to restart Blender. Then it will be resolved automatically.
illussimoCustomerVersion 3.0 works great. Besides the convenience of the new interface, the shaders seem to be smoother and I had nearly no problems in updating my projects.
Here is an updated version of my Vehicle Fantasy where I added a new scene.
I have a few issues concerning light, normal animation, iOS and iPadOS about which I will report later.
Super update again!
illussimoCustomerSuper, complete dark theme and so many improvements! I will soon test them out.
illussimoCustomerIf you are fairly new to Javascript. Use Puzzles!
illussimoCustomerIf you use procedural textures for water. You can animate the mapping rotation on one of the axes. For a complete loop, you need to make sure the rotation spans 360°.
You can use puzzles to slow or accelerate the animation.
Hope this helps.
SimoneillussimoCustomerI write my HTML and CSS in a code editor and do not use puzzles to create my divs.
All my divs are in a container div. But I found I had one closing tag too much after the left sidebar div. After correcting that it all works well.
Strangely enough, it all worked fine in the normal window so I didn’t notice it before the change in the 3.0 Puzzles viewport.
I think the new Puzzles viewport is a fantastic enhancement!illussimoCustomerFantastic! Also how it is presented. Inspiring!
illussimoCustomerYou need to add value nodes in your material setup and then you can access them via the Puzzle Yuri mentioned.
Check out the Tutorials section on the forum. You can find a lot of helpful information there.
illussimoCustomerCtrl-Space seems a good choice.
By the way, I tested 3.0 pre1 with Blender 2.82 with my Faun da Gamba project and for now, everything seems to work fine. Only some issue with (in) the floating viewport window. I will make a separate post about that after more extensive testing.
illussimoCustomerHello Alfred,
I see you have quite some lights and nice shadows. To make it work in iOS bake all your shadows to a 2K texture and disable shadows in Verge3D.
For my apps that did the trick! I have attached a node setup example for baked shadows.
Hope this helps.
