Super useful updates! Will the Reflection Plane Light Probe also be working in version 3.7? That would be so great!
illussimoCustomerGood news! See my new post on this topic. Make sure you use the latest Blender 2.93 Beta built.
SimoneillussimoCustomerSuper happy with the light probe support. Will the Reflection Plane light probe also be supported in 3.7?
That would be such a great improvement for scenes with water.
I made a post about it with some simple example images, but I have not yet seen a reaction.
SimoneillussimoCustomerHello Daniel,
Geometry Nodes are a great addition to Blender! Unfortunately, it still only works in Blender. The modifier can not yet be applied so no real geometry is created. Therefore, it can not yet be exported to any file format.
In the end, I’m sure this will be developed and then export to Verge3D GLTF will be possible. And then, the sky is not the limit!
Best regards,
SimoneillussimoCustomerWow, looks super sleek and cool! I’m sure you made your client super happy!

That’s the great thing of Verge3D you can do all, write your own javascript, use only puzzles or do both. Whatever is most convenient for you. It all integrates well.
2020-09-19 at 2:40 pm in reply to: VR version of my Vehicle Fantasy, timer and IBL lighting issues #33065illussimoCustomerI have tested the IBL light switching issue in 3.4 pre4 and now it works!
, SimoneillussimoCustomerThe swiss army knife scroll demo is fantastic! An extensive example of what can be achieved with this feature. Adding and controlling fog with puzzles is also a welcome addition.
Any chance of being able to select multiple puzzle pieces? Do you plan these kinds of improvements for puzzles for 3.4 as well? That would be so helpful because with the many things one can now achieve with puzzles it gets harder and harder to rearrange them.
Thanks for everything done already.
2020-08-25 at 4:48 pm in reply to: VR version of my Vehicle Fantasy, timer and IBL lighting issues #31958illussimoCustomerOh, I thought I needed the frame listener in VR mode. I changed it and don’t use it now, but the IBL lighting still turns off when I switch the scene. Everything else works fine, as before.
I tested with the Chrome WebXR emulator and a Cardboard device on my iPhone 5 SE.
The WebXR emulator overrides WebXR API with Polyfill. Has it something to do with Polyfill not supporting the IBL light switching?
Does it work for you on other devices than the Oculus Quest?2020-08-18 at 3:17 pm in reply to: VR version of my Vehicle Fantasy, timer and IBL lighting issues #31697illussimoCustomerHello Alexander,
I have sent the zip file to Yuri. It is a simpler setup for testing purposes.
It still has the problem (in VR mode).
Play around with it and see if you can find out what’s going on.
I think it must be something with IBL lighting purely.
Maybe it has something yo do with Polyfill when it overrides the WebXR API.
You wrote that everything works well with Oculus Quest but I hope you will get IBL light switching working on more simple devices as well. I think this will be important for many more Verge3D users.
All the best,
SimoneillussimoCustomerWorks great, super-fast loading in Chrome and the latest version of Edge. (Edge is now based on Chromium.)
Unfortunately, the KHR parallel shader compile extension is not yet supported in Firefox.
But I suppose Firefox will follow soon.2020-07-22 at 8:51 pm in reply to: VR version of my Vehicle Fantasy, timer and IBL lighting issues #30487illussimoCustomerHello Alexander,
I have updated the VR version of my Vehicle Fantasy to Verge3D 3.3 pre2 in the hope that the IBL lighting issue when changing scenes, would be resolved.
But the issue remains.
Could you please look into this issue. (I have included screenshots in the above post.)
Thanks in advance,
SimoneillussimoCustomerWelcome to the EU! I hoped that you would have been able to do this in the Netherlands so we could meet each other ones in a while, but in the current circumstances, it wouldn’t have been possible anyway. Estonia surely is a better choice. Enjoy and celebrate this new leap!
illussimoCustomerLooks stylish and practical. At the moment it is also the nicest and safest way to shop for a nice new winter coat.
illussimoCustomerOh, thank you for this answer. I will implement it soon.
