Congratulations! I hope the coming year you will have at least some relaxing time.
Enjoy your achievements and celebrate!
SimoneillussimoCustomerHello Alexander,
Unfortunately, Apple both in both MacOS and iOS has only limited support for WebGL. It will only load max 8 textures so parts of the scene might not show up.
Apple support might change in the future but for now, we will have to think of workarounds. Unfortunately, it hampers getting visually appealing 3D content to Apple users.
It is nothing Verge3D can do about. Apple might change its mind. We will just have to be patient…
SimoneillussimoCustomerWauw Yuri, you and your team are reacting so fast after our feedbacks!
Didn’t even have time to test out the second beta release…
I will try to test this release the coming week.
SimoneillussimoCustomerHello Mikhail,
Yes of course I did. And you can see IK really works well. But legs and trunk separate during the little jump.
I hope WebGL can handle this and it would be great if you could solve this issue.
Let me know if you need the blend file.
Have a nice week
SimoneillussimoCustomerHello Yuri,
I made 2 small example screencasts to show the difference in Blender and the output in the browser. As you can see IK works really well in the browser :good:, but the legs are not in the right location and become separated from the trunk. In Blender everything is fine.
I hope this gives you a clue about what is going on.
If it can be solved more complex armature animation will be possible in the browser.
Let me know if you still need the Blend files.
SimoneillussimoCustomerSorry, I haven’t read your article carefully enough.
Thanks, Yuri for this advice. I will find those changes in my code editor and do just what you suggested.
SimoneillussimoCustomerI will have to dig into my previous files. I will contact you by mail about sending the older file with the issue.
SimoneillussimoCustomerThank you, I’m glad you liked it. I would be glad to add it to your gallery, but I still have to do some work to improve it… Let’s see if I can get it out when 2.9 is ready.
As for IE11: If it would help you I will try the “shim” and let you know if that worked. (The scene and rig might be just too complicated for IE11 to handle…)
I will contact you by mail about sending the example of the scene for you to investigate the iOS and OSX issue,
Simone
illussimoCustomerThank you for your clear answer. You are developing so quickly in so many ways… I understand this is a more complicated matter than I hoped it would be.
Thank you for all the work already done,
SimoneillussimoCustomerHello Yuri,
I think, for users (like myself) who adjusted the HTML and CSS files, they need to copy-paste also their adjusted “awsome_app.html” and “awsome_app.css” files to the new folder.
I always name my old folders with the old Version number e.g. verge3d 2_6. So I can trace things back if needed. I hope this little tip is useful.
Have a good weekend!
SimoneillussimoCustomerThat’s great news! I already tried out 2.9pre1 with Blender-2.80-1a865b4ff01-win64, it seemed to work well but unfortunately, upon export, I got an error message and it didn’t work. See attachment.
Next week I will try your new version with the latest Blender 2.8 Build.
Oh yes! Bloom!
SimoneillussimoCustomerThank you! I generally prefer dark themes and also always used them in my code editor. Much easier and pleasing to the eye. Thanks for this work!
SimoneillussimoCustomerHello Yuri, Thank you. This makes everything much clearer! It was great to talk to you again at the Blender Conference. Always such quick reactions to our questions and wishes.
