After multiple attempts, the sample file cannot be uploaded (it only has 2mb)

    Hello
I tested the standard material transparency earlier (which is important because it supports double-sided mapping, has fewer material nodes, and requires less computation).

Today, I tested the transparency of physical materials again and found that when models with transparency are crossed together, there will be confusion, and some opaque areas will also become transparent.

Moreover, whether it is the transparency of standard materials or physical materials, it does not support glow (glow does not work when HDR rendering is activated in the export settings).

    The following is the attachment.

    Great!
    I think it’s perfect.
Thank you very much to Nurgeldi Doletov and kdv.

    Thank you for your suggestion
PCF (Poisson Disk) shadow, after many attempts, the effect is suitable for large scenes.
During this process, the distance between the light and the target cannot exceed 300 meters, otherwise there will be projection errors.
ESM shadows are not suitable for large scenes because their edge aliasing problem cannot be solved.

Perhaps my scene is more complex…
Your scene’s shadow edges have become jagged, you can pull the camera closer to verify

Thank you KDV. Your scene is fantastic.
But I need a very large scene, such as: 1 square kilometer

It seems that the Margin is too large and/or ESM Bias is not configured correctly.<br data-immersive-translate-walked=”f182feb6-d2c1-46ed-aedd-ba5e155df377″>
To better understand the problem, could you please provide a minimal version of the scene where the problem persists?

    @Nurgeldi Doletov
    Hello
I have tried various values for Margin and ESM Bias, but I have not been able to solve the problem
I will provide you with the minimum 3dsmax model for persistent issues

If more complex scenarios are needed, I can provide them later

    Hi kdv
Perhaps the author may not be able to present it, as I left him a message but did not receive a response.

Do other 3ds Max users know how to implement it?

    Wow! That’s great!
I am also a max version user and have tried multiple times to use materials to achieve the dynamic water required for my work (such as rivers, ditches, pools, etc.), but have not been successful. Can you show me how you did it in Max?

    Hello Xeon!

I have tried multiple times to use materials to achieve the dynamic water that I need in my work (such as rivers, ditches, pools, etc.), but have been unsuccessful. If you could share a copy of the 3ds Max engineering file, I would be extremely grateful.

    Expected effect:
