    Hi Alexander,

    Thanks for the alternative.

But I would have to create way too many glTF asset since I have 3 parameters (size, colors and one more).
Also, the client has the ability to change the texture with its own picture (like the frame app).
So I would need it to export it in runtime.

Would you consider feasible to create a plugin to do this ?

    Thanks

To add to my previous post, the results are the same whatever the browser I use (Chrome, Samsung or Safari)

    Hi Yuri and KDV,

Thanks for taking the time to look into it.

WebXR doesn’t work well on Samsung phones due to compatibility issue with WebXR.
For my test, I have tried to run those application :
    – The Dinosaurs app from WEBXR site : https://xrdinosaurs.com/
    – The farmer

Both have the same results :
    – On the S22 : The app freeze when I try opening the AR view (and then nothing happen)
    – On the S23 and S24 : It enters the AR mode but camera feed is pitch black (see video).
Those issues have been notified many time on Samsung developper website, but it seems that they don’t really pay attention to it.

On the other hand it works fine on the S20, S24 Ultra+, Fold and Flip (I asked the samsung sales, those phones run on snapdragon instead of samsung Exynos processor. It might be the reason).

But to my surprise, there is no problem at all when I use the <model-viewer> (see picture).

I could explain to my client that we will fix this issue “soon” but If it doesn’t work on the last S24, I have the feeling that it will never be addressed by Samsung. And there are too many Samsung users..

My question is, is it technically possible to create a puzzle that would work the same way for IOS ? export an USDZ file of the configured object for QuickLook ? As I said I don’t need animation / sound.

    Thanks !

    Hello,

It seems that Samsung is not very committed to fix this issue..
WebXR works fine only on a few device such as the S24 Ultra (S24 doesn’t), The FOLD and FLIP (maybe some more that I haven’t tested).
It looks like the devices using Snapdragon processor don’t have any issue compared to those with the Exynos chipset. There is not much we can do anyway.

On the other hand, the <model-viewer> works fine. My Samsung S22 doesn’t freeze and display the object correctly.

Would it be possible to create a puzzle that could export my object once it has been configured using <model-viewer> ?
I bought an addon with Kdv doing exactly this by exporting a USDZ for QuickLook on IOS and I wonder if we could do the same for android ?

    Thank you !

    Hi Alexander,

Thanks for checking. Yes, it seems that at least the Samsung S22 and S23 fe (probably more version too) are not able to access WebXR.
Hopefully they will find a solution since it has been like this since many months already.

    Hi Kdv,

Yes I have installed everything and double checked, everything is up to date.
My phone is a Galaxy S22.
Also, I have reset to factory settings just to be sure that I would install everything properly again.

As you can see in the video, the ARdemo is not working at all. When I enter AR mode there is a flash then nothing happen.
I have been on the Web XR website mentioned by Yuri and I have the same issue (I have tried one with the dinosaurs). When I want to enter AR mode, the screen freeze completely.

On the other hand, I have found one that works. The example with the bag.

Thanks for pointing out the error.

I haven’t been able to find where to disable “Fit to canvas” constraint.
Is it on webflow ? I have checked again the Swiss knife tuto but they don’t talk about it.

In the meantime, I have double checked if “ready_button” and “edit_button” were a child of the camera on blender and it is the case (see SC).

I have tried all the combinations including Blender version 3.5.1. Still, all the meshes remain pitch black if there is only an HDRI (As I said I don’t want any source light on top of the HDRI which should be enough).

What I don’t understand is that I don’t have any problem if I would start a new blender file from scratch (or duplicate from another app such as the scooter for instance). The HDRI lights my scene as excepted. Only AR Demo doesn’t work.

The only reason I don’t start a new blender file and then replicate the puzzle from the AR Demo into my app is that there is a bug when I use it on android (Verge3D has acknowledge the issue and is currently working on a patch).

In the mean time I am hoping to find a solution regarding this “Fragment shader” issue.

    Hi kdv,

It seems to be an issue with the “Fragment shader” that doesn’t compile.
I haven’t noticed any other issue besides this one.

Don’t know if it worth mentioning but the HDRI I am using is the “environment verge3d.hdr”.
Also up to date with V3D Version: 4.6.0 and blender 4.1.
