CustomerOk …since its not a shadow problem….I gues it is your second opion….i was thinking in the same direction….it is on surfaces underneath which there are other surfaces quite near….
thanks for confirming this…..
since my modells are quite complex i gues i need to do something about the modelling

I just noticed that the shader optimations are not yet in the Verge version i work with ( 4.7.1 )
Question……is version 4.8 pre1 working with Max 2022 ?

CustomerHi Yuri….i´ll check the texture size of some of the textures as you advized…
For the real time shadows….i tried it with baking them….it looked shitty….
what do you mean with cascaded shadows…..i work with version 2021 of max still….so its a bit older version of verge i work with so far…
thinking about updating to a newer version of max

CustomerNow I´ve optimized my medieval Town project as well….
mainly optimized the Textures and the amount of render calls…
The amount of lights stayed the same because of the ambient look….changing from day-
to night….Before it took about 3 min. to load on my PC and it ran with 25-30 Frames / second
Now it loads within 2 min and runs with mostly full 60 Frames/second.https://www.gf3d.de/Church/Church.html

I´m using a 12 core intel i7 processor, 48 GB Ram and a 6GB AMD Graphic board

Customerwell….these kind of projects need quite good hardware to work properly ( as stated om my site)
and of course an internett connection of lets say 100MbitIf your hardware is good enough it should run fine on any browser…

CustomerHi there,
i have to agree with Xeon,
it looks far better to create texture baked objects ( beauty and AO )
you can have them as simple legacy textures with self illumination….at my site you can see some nice samples
https://www.gf3d.de/html/vr_01.html
These projects have all just a environment lighting…..real time reflections.
Only the lites that move or change color are real lites….
Its worth while …loads quite fast and looks nice….Greets

CustomerThanks…
These samples don´t have much interactivity….But might be interesting
for companies that work in the field of exhibitians,,,for presentation purposes.Greets
