    Yes, I did this, the camera constrained on the object and followed the object motion, and used a free camera, all in the 3dmax software, there is no problem, but in the verge3d program the camera still keeps looking at the coordinate origin. I don’t know if there is a problem in 3dmax, or if verge3d is not perfect.

    I think I have a similar problem. When I rotate the camera 360° along the horizontal axis, the camera target is always at the original point. It is normal at 3dmax.
