For anyone who is still having problems getting the add-on installed in Blender 2.80, 2.81, 2.82 for Windows 10, I have found a method that got Verge3D to show up in Blender in the Add-Ons list.
After installing Verge3D for Blender version 3.1 (with Blender closed), navigate to the folder Users/*yourUsername/verge3d/addons/verge3d/setup. There is a Python script and a batch file in that folder. Change the name of the file “setupAddon.py” using rename to “setupPlugin.py” and then double-click the batch file named “setAddon” to run it. You should receive a message that the batch file was successful. If you receive an error message from the batch file, check that the name of the Python script is “setupPlugin.py”.
Now launch Blender, go to Edit > Preferences and select the Add-ons tab, scroll to the bottom of the list, check the box labeled “Verge3D:Verge3d”, select the hamburger menu icon at the lower left corner, and select “Save Preferences”.
Now you can restart Blender and “Sneak Peek” and “App Manager” buttons for Verge3D will appear in the upper right corner of the project window under the Options pull down menu.
