Hi guys,
I’m thinking about one project and I would like to know if there is any way to implement to Verge3d puzzles for something like Location based ARI found this article:
https://medium.com/chialab-open-source/location-based-gps-augmented-reality-on-the-web-7a540c515b3c
Basically to situate an object through world coordinates.
Many thanks for any idea.

Is there any way to implement the AR.js for image tracking and location based AR?https://ar-js-org.github.io/AR.js-Docs/
Thanks!

I am also curious if there is a way to add image tracking to verge 3D. It would really add an edge to the AR puzzle section and I would be more willing to buy Verge3d. Thank you for the work already!

Currently I am torn between using pure ar.js with a-frame, but having to do it all in code (which I’m not good at) and or pay vast amounts of money to use one of the commercial (and very simple to use) options like zap works.
I would love to be able to keep using verge3d through the whole process, but there is just a small disconnect between verge3D and AR unfortunately. WebAr is definitely the future of AR modelling due to the sidestepping of having to build an app.
To have verge 3D natively include ar.js is a serious step that needs to be taken in my opinion.
Please please can the devs work it into the code! Pretty please!!
Thanks!

adding image tracking to WebXR is work-in-progress at the moment. The current API is unstable and only available in Chromium-based browser with dev flags switched on. See more info about these flags here for example.
We don’t want to use purely software implementations like AR.js in the meantime, because of poor performance and precision, and because it is supposed to be replaced by proper hardware-accelerated API like WebXR in the near future.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear this is being taken up, great news!
RE chromium being the only browser for this to work in, using ar.js and A-Frame, it is possible (and I have done it a few times now) to make a cross browser and OS webar image tracking setup with just a few lines of code. I have tried it out on many phones and found no problems with any, without need to enable browser flags.
But, I cannot complain, I think you guys are doing a great job with this platform! Thank you!
