Hi
first id’s like to say i love the way things are going with the development of the app etc. Great Job!
Just a few things about the latest build…When opening a puzzles setup from the main app page, it used to open a new tab.
I liked that, because i always had the app page open to go to. It doesn’t do that any more.
In the visual logic puzzles environment,
when creating a new variable, a few things…First, you can’t see the puzzles behind like before, if you were trying to type a name you were making a change to or an iteration of a different variable on the screen(not the one you’re changing).. but changing this one to be spelled like the other one..you can’t see it.
also, you have to click into the text area before typing.
you can’t use “esc” to cancel, you cannot use “enter” to complete the input, you have to click cancel and ok.another thing that was not from a new change, but something I’ve been meaning to say..
i work with variables a ton (a given for anyone) .. so when re-naming, it always gave a blank field (and still does).. i think it would be better if the original name was there in the field, so that you could make an adjustment, if that’s all you were going to do (which more often than not, is what i am doing when renaming),
because there’s no way you can go and copy the name as you can from the procedure’s name field.
i’m finding myself typing the variable names into a notepad on the side, copying by eye the name…since no way to copy it..
.. then opening the variables window then copying and pasting it into the field…also in procedure’s name field you couldn’t “cut”, only “copy”. now you can. thanks.. heh (i was just about to write about that!, had to check if it too had changed.)
also a “linter” would be great.. i remember in the first versions of Verge I used, if there were un-used variables.. they would disappear next time you opened the file after closing. i like that, since i have a virtual graveyard of unused variables from older versions of things i deleted.
the dark/night setting works for me on the main app page.. not for the puzzles page.
the puzzle’s toolbox font uses system font colors i guess? so my high contrast (dark) window’s theme (white fonts on black background makes the font white, so it’s invisible on the white puzzle’s background.also the “save puzzles” icon used to be bright blue if i hadn’t saved.. reminding me to save.. now i cannot tell if it changes.
having it in the middle by the play button is kind of odd.
never seen a save button in the middle of a screen ever.Visit the GLIFTEK Verge3D Plugins Store!
