Blender-specific – Global Illumination
You now have the possibility to use Eevee’s light probes to greatly raise the realism and vibe of your scenes.
Light probes can be added via the usual Add Object menu (for now, only Reflection Cubemaps will work in Verge3D).
Upon loading, specular and diffuse lighting from all the scene is baked for each light probe and applied to all objects. See how indirect lighting plays on the screenshot from our work-in-progress demo.
Maya-specific
A bunch of new Maya nodes were supported for this update. This includes Add Double Linear, Bulge, Cloth, Color Condition, Color Logic, Color Mask, Float Condition, Float Logic, Float Mask, Grid, Luminance, and Mult Double Linear.
In addition, the Noise node can now be used with Verge3D. For now only Perlin noise type is supported.
Odd warning messages that were printed in Maya when exporting scenes have been removed.
Other improvements
You can now control what mouse buttons can be used with the when dragged over puzzle (thanks for suggesting this feature).
The JavaScript code generated by the Puzzles Editor is now more compact thanks to reducing the number of global variables and inserting certain code chunks on demand. The FPS counter displayed in the Puzzles Editor was also improved. In addition, we fixed some crashes related to the Physics puzzles.
We fixed the bug with incorrect gamma applied to the color of the outlining effect.

You said that the cubemaps are baked “Upon loading”. I have two questions. How fast is the bake? Can the baking procedure be triggered again? It would be nice to have light probes work for 3D scenes where objects and light sources are loaded and unloaded.
Thanks! This is awesome.Jeremy Wernick

That would be such a great improvement for scenes with water.
I made a post about it with some simple example images, but I have not yet seen a reaction.
