Hi
Can we make a code recognized AR popup by using verge?

I mean its a typical AR related development. For example below video from YouTube. look at it after 00:41 seconds. Where a scanned QR code launches a CG of a shoe directly on the laptop keyboard surface.
Can something like this be done in case of a AR example in verge’s library sample. That cartoon boy appears against some specific code or a figure scan.2024-06-04 at 3:25 am #74525kdvParticipantThat example is for iOS only. QR code provides a direct link to .usdz model which is opened in Quick Viewer. Verge3D is not needed at all in this case.
Google knows how to convert direct links to QR codes…
Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.
If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.
2024-06-04 at 5:02 am #74528visualizerCustomerMy concern is not the OS. Let it be any OS doesn’t matter.
My question is if Verge can do this important thing for the AR example as shown in video
2024-06-04 at 5:05 am #74529kdvParticipantLet it be any OS doesn’t matter.
It matters significantly. For iOS its quite possible. For Android – hardly. Besides, the QR code reader in the Camera app won’t open links automatically.

2024-06-04 at 6:48 am #74530visualizerCustomerI am not asking anything about OS.
I am hoping verge feature to produce this.
Do you mean that, even if Vrege provides feature and since it runs on Windows; it will not allow verge to pop up the thing as expected?2024-06-04 at 8:02 am #74531kdvParticipantI am not asking anything about OS.
But you’re showing the example for iOS ))) Which will work only in iOS. Did you see any example working the same way in Android?
I am hoping verge feature to produce this.
What feature? You want Verge3D to generate a QR code? You can’t do it with the help of numerous online generators?

I just gave a reference irrespective of Os. When you said I came to know it is iOS.

No not QR generator lol. All the things happening in that video as shown
100% there is such QR code recognition for popping up product 3d on android. I will check for relevant example and post here.

This is what exactly I am talking about. This is a Samsung tab and no chance of iOS.
Hey Yuri,
This is what is expected from Verge as feature. Would add lots of value to its production capabilities used in serious business & presentation purposes.Just to add –
As seen in video QR code is not the only sensing for popping up the digital asset through lens.
I have seen any design or a specific graphic used for this.
I thought if there is any specific sign or a graphic can be used to pop up that farmer cartoon boy it would be addition to the existing feature.- This reply was modified 6 months, 2 weeks ago by visualizer.

2024-11-20 at 2:47 pm #78977vkleinCustomerI would also appreciate an image tracking AR solution, at least use the image/QRCode to initially place the 3d content then let SLAM take over the tracking, possibly corrected from time to time if the image tracker has a near 100% confidency of the actual track.
