Hi,
I’m wondering about how and why these “proxy_nodes” are generated.
I have one for every item in my scene (some 2 even). When I use a JS function call to find a child of an object,
I don’t get the original object, just the “v3d_Proxy_Node_0_objectName” (i’m typing “objectName” here instead of my objects’ names)Then I have to use the “get region” text puzzle to just get the object’s name from thee 18th character to the end.
Is this normal? I use many Empties. Might that affect this?
there IS a part of my code that changes the parenting of certain things (way up the parent chain).just trying to understand the way the proxy_node thing works.
thanks.Visit the GLIFTEK Verge3D Plugins Store!

all i’m finding is how to parent and clear inverse..
do i have to un-parent them all then re-parent by doing that?Visit the GLIFTEK Verge3D Plugins Store!

i was trying that before..with screwy results..
but then i did “set origin” to center of mass (surface),
zeroed out the location transform fields,
then applied transform and it did the job.thanks!
