    Hi,

Thank you for your previous reply on my other question. :good:

I now have a new problem, when uploading artwork which will be placed on the 3D object, jpg and png files work perfectly. I want to know if its possible for pdf’s to be uploaded and loaded onto the object just like how the image file types work?

    Hi,

unfortunately you cannot use PDF files as textures directly.

    Hi Yuri,

This feature does work on a Mac OS but doesn’t work on Windows. There must be something that allows it to work on a Mac?

Please check and let me know.

Curiosity got the best of me and tested this. Able to upload a PDF via Safari on Mac without any issues. Unable to do the same on windows?

Im also aware that Blender supports PSD Files, but i see that PSD aswell cannot be uploaded, is this just a limitation with Threejs?

If so, is there a way we can incorporate some script in with the Java puzzles system to help with this?

interesting observations! can somebody make a simplistic project for us to test it out?

    Hi Yuri,

You can use the custom image project on Verge to test this.

I’ve tried uploading a PDF to that photo frame using a Mac that’s running Big Sur and it works. It doesn’t work on Mac’s running High Sierra, I haven’t tried any other OS’s so I’m not sure if it work on any other OS.

yeah, working for me on Mac/Safari too, but not in other browsers or OSes. I guess this WebGL feature is strictly specific to Apple…

Is there a work around for this?

Like using the puzzles to to covert the pdf to an image and place it on the object?

nope, this can only be done through coding. You can use PDF.js for that
