Hi,
I’m using Verge3D since yesterday and prepared my first prototype to check the workflow, but everything inside Blender / Puzzles.
I couldn’t Publish the project to check it online.
Is this expected (I suppose so)?I decided to check the tutorials, but the tutorial for Blender also uses embedded content after Publishing to your server.
Is there anything I can do to follow the tutorial with my built?
What exaclty is used from the project’s folder to the real build? Thanks for the insigths!
Best regards,
Dafar2022-06-09 at 6:00 pm #52843xeonCustomerI am sure someone from Soft8Soft will jump in on this one too but I will try to help.
I am trying to understand what you mean by “embedded” content. Are you referring to the app icons that are in the media folder, are you referring the preloader graphic, or are you referring to .js files? What specifically are you referring to as “embedded” content?
Publishing. There are a few options you can use. You can review using the local computer, using sneak peek, uploading to Soft8Soft servers or uploading your content to your own web server.
As far as what is needed in the projects folder that will be required to be used online…pretty much everything except for the 3D app project file (.blend, .mb, etc.) and the backup puzzle files.
Here are some basics:
1. with you 3d application with the verge plugin installed open the Verge Application Manger. Find you project and select the blue verge 3D icon under the “runnables” column. You can also view this in side the puzzle manager using the green puzzle icon under the “operations” column.2. To view this on Soft8Soft server there is a dark gray icon with a white upload arrow in the “operations column. This will allow you to upload to Soft8Soft server. When completed it will give you an URL to access your content.

Thanks for your reply!Because of your answer I ended up going to the Documentation and found this:
“A more robust way to add your own HTML/CSS to a Verge3D app would be creating a new .html file, in which the Verge3D app .html is embedded, matryoshka-style”.So the <Iframe> solution is a way to add another page inside your html. This is what I mentioned as “embedding”.
I also found partly my answer:
“The required “Embed” component and the “Export Code” feature are only available to paid “Account” plans, so you need to acquire a subscription before proceeding with this tutorial.”.From your answer I understand that the project folder contains my needed files (but more than what I need).
So I have 2 options: Or I pay now (at the early stage before understanding the capabilities and limitations of the solution), or I learn which files are NOT needed to be on my server from the project folder.I’ll keep reading the documentation to figure it out, or maybe someone will give some guidance here.
All the best for you!!
Thanks!! -
