CustomerHi there.
i have a topic which has to do with transpatencies
I the attached pic you will see what i mean.
I work with 3DMAX.
I the Pic you will see a hedge with an opacity image in the texture.
looking through the the window you can only see the plane that ist behind the 3D hedge….
the transparencies in the window is in the opacity setting…no picture in the opacity channel….it doesn´t matter whether the material of the window is standard legacy material or a physical material….
Anyone has an idea about that?

StaffTry to use Phisical material, then set Trancperency and thin-walled material with Blend type of aplha.

StaffSeems like it’s not attached because of size, try to upload it on any file sharing service and share the link here.

StaffYes, transperency in 3ds max is a big problem. Some steps can help you to improve it little bit:
1. Set Alpha Mode for all leaves as Mask.
2. Ser Rendering Order (in the object settings) to 4-5
3. In export settings (in upper Verg3D menu) set Use HDRI rendering checkbox.
4. Set Transperency to 0,9-0,8 for glass material.
All this steps will make your glass little bit more visible.Co-founder and lead graphics specialist at Soft8Soft.

CustomerHi Mikhail,
for the leaves it works better with the mask setting…
checking the HDRI rendering checkbox…i tried it…no change and unpredictable for the look…so i leave that….
Transparency setting changed to 0,9-0,8 doesn´t make it better….
what do you mean with “rendering order” im the object settings?
i don´t know that setting and i can´t find it in the object settingGreets
