    Hey everyone,

first thanks for this awesome software. I am pretty impressed how well it works.

I have a few complex object with multiple materials each (Buildings) and like to implement some kind of selection highlight.
If you hover over one of the buildings it should get a green overlay.
I´m aware of the outline feature, but would like to have an full overlay.

What would be the preferred way to implement this?
Switching the material is a hassle, because there are multiple materials per object, also it will not be possible to change the overlay opacity to – lets say – 50%.

Are there any existing solutions already build in?

    Thanks and br,
    Gerald

You can connect Value node to transpeency of the material and change it by Set Value Puzzle.

    Hello Mikhail,
    thanks for reply.
Changing the transparency works well in some cases, but now we face another problem.

Is it possible to “draw” the tint on top of everything else?
We have a building and want to select a single flat inside that building.

A simplified example would look like this:
We have 3 spheres inside one big opaque sphere. Is there a way to highlight the 3 spheres on hovering?

I would also like to know how to achieve this effect, just like in Yuri’s provided link.
    Cheers

You can create a shader which adds color and control the mix factor with the set value puzzle: https://www.soft8soft.com/docs/manual/en/puzzles/Materials.html#materials_set_value

If you are using Blender 2.79, you can also check our example E-learning.
