We are getting closer and closer to Verge3D 2.9 release. Here is what we included in the third pre-release build:
In addition to regular materials, environment is now fully customizable via the new set color and set value puzzles. This allows for switching between night and daytime conditions and makes other artistic (or rather programmatic) effects possible.
We improved anti-aliasing and overall quality for physical materials. The results are especially noticed on highly reflective metallic surfaces.
Radiance HDR textures (aka RGBE) are now supported for using in both 3ds Max and Blender. These textures allows for imitating complex lighting conditions (for example, if there are too many light sources, or they are extended).
The new feature available puzzle will allow to check the capabilities of your users’ browsers and devices.
Bugs:
- [Max only] Fixed V-ray materials crashing upon export.
- [Blender only] Fixed the giant dialog window displayed upon export in the recent Blender 2.8 builds.
- Fixed the bloom effect working incorrectly in HDR mode.
- Shadows are now cast properly from point lights.
- Fixed class -> className property in the set attribute puzzle.
Help us test all the new great features before they appear in the final version!
P.S. Dear Blender users! Please be informed that upcoming Verge3D 2.9 will be compatible with both Blender 2.7 and Blender 2.8.
