Trouble for make shadows, a object don’t have it, but behind him there is a objet who catch it, strange. I use simple sun, what is the good set-up ? May be it’s a problem with Blender only, I see nothing in Blender with Verge3d. Thank you for you help.

All materials has cast shadow on by default, you can see it in the Shadow parameters in material preferences. Does this model has thikness?

I found that shadows cast by the sun seem to be limited by the x-y-z position of the sun in relation to objects. Maybe this is the problem Vincent faces.

For example, by default, objects located more than about 16 meters from the base of the sunlight have no drop shadows, as can be seen on my first screenshot, in the 3D view as on a web page.

If I move the sun on the other side on the X axis, then it’s the first cube that has no shadow (second screenshot).

The settings of the sun can improve that. For example, you can increase the size of the map. The shadows have a lower resolution (third screenshot) and you have to increase the resolution of the map. If a gap between the shadow and the object is visible we can also increase the “Far” value (maybe there is another setting ?) .

I don’t know if these limits are OpenGL limits or if there is a way, in the future, to have sun settings less restrictive, which would be a great improvement especially in case we need a scene spanning a large space.

    hello everyone,
Thank you for your interest, I have solved with the thickness of an object, too fine objects do not take light. My scene is wide too.
