hi
i’m wondering if this version might have a bug with the custom props feature.
i’ve tested it multiple times in the recommended way and it’s coming up as undefined in the console. using Version 2.16.0pre2
i see 16 full is out . i will upgrade.
hopefully it works there.
thanksEDIT: same with 16.full

it is not in Scene> Verge3D settings.
it is in context: RENDER> Verge3D settings.
that was the issue.
FIXED.
we’re ROCKIN’ NOW!P.S. : I think you maybe should make that ON by default or put that very important tidbit of info in the manual entry of the custom props (should make this step here avoidable)

is that i can’t call the object with the custom properties through using a variable.
even with the “variable value by name” puzzle.
using the selector puzzle for an actual object works just fine.
not variable.that was the original idea… to loop through all of the custom props for retrieving unique data of many objects that are loaded into the scene .. hence need for a changing variable each “i” in loop.

Sorry for the late answer. Can you post the puzzles setup that doesn’t work? Or a link to a test example?

2020-02-12 at 5:53 pm #23512GLiFTeKCustomerHi,
Sorry for the late answer. Can you post the puzzles setup that doesn’t work? Or a link to a test example?was just about to post again about this but remembered that i had posted about it before.
yeah… it’s still not working for me.
i have the export settings checked…
but there’s no way to designate an Object that the custom props are attached to.i experimented and named one property “custom properties” and made an object “custom properties” and it appears in puzzles as “custom properties.001”
but it doesn’t produce any dictionary keys.
in your example it shows using “cube” .. how was “cube” initially connected to the Custom Properties section of the Scene Data Pallets?
if you select an object. .then make custom props.. then select another object.. they stay there…. so they’re not specific to an object as far as i can tell.
do you name the property after an object like i did?thanks
thanks

Oh, you mean Custom Properties on a scene itself?
Scenes actually get custom properties from the World panel not from the Scene panel. This may be considered a bug, I think we will fix it in the near future. Anyway, the puzzle “get custom props” doesn’t work with scenes, only with objects (this also may be supported in the future). So, right now the most convenient way of using custom properties is to add them directly to an object (Object > Custom Properties) and then use the puzzle as usual.
