Hi, we’re a start-up studio coming from design experience and joining myself and other partner as 3D developers/CG artist. I’ve been testing Verge since some months ago doing some demos and practicing with the software.
After being refused to work on a couple of projects we’ve been having some difficulties to agree what would be the best strategy. We’re working in some e-commerce like the recliner or the bags (Blen4web demo http://www.laikailike.com/en/ ) and e-learning interactive for industry maybe like the Verge’s package demo.
We work for small/medium companies.
I know it’s hard to say, it depends on each country, city or maybe social context, so it’s no the same working in Russia, China, USA, Germany or France, for example, but if you’re could make an approach it helps a lot! Anybody who knows own experience or someone’s else are good too.
Thanks.kind regards.

It is very difficult to get pay you need to produce any WebGL application. A lot of people still think that iy is some kinda kidding or just a game that isn’t necessary for their business.
I know, that producing of simple 3D model costs from 25€ and takes 1-2 days. But company (even myself) spend much more money to live and operate. And many people trying to damp even that 25€ per model.
My last project costs 1000€.It is 3D configurator of floor. It took 3 month to make it, remake it, fixe all bugs and add features by my own. The ptice is very low, but customer didn’t want to pay more.2018-11-12 at 8:21 am #8840jbetbeCustomerHi Yeggi, I appreciate your comments, it helps.
It’s more or less my situation…2019-09-27 at 2:30 pm #19430hoodyParticipantDude only 1000 € for a 3d configurator? I charge that for a pretty basic websites.

I can tell you that not only in Russia but also in the Netherlands there are “clients” who want everything for cheap, cheap, cheap. Unfortunately, we are tempted to offer much too low prices for our, in fact, highly skilled work. That makes potential clients underestimate the work. This is a problem for many freelancers.
But there are serious clients as well!
It is important to always take time to get to know your potential client and keep asking questions. 3D Web projects are not fast, fast, projects. They are high-value projects for long term prospects.
You have to convince the client and you don’t do that with low prices but with your professional skills. Part of that skill is asking the right questions before you dive in.
So be patient and don’t fall into the trap!
There will come a time that WebGL applications are a “must-have” for any self-respecting company.
