    Hi Community!

I discovered this model by a 3D studio. The performance is remarkably good, it runs smoothly even on my old LG ThinQ 7 (which is my low end test benchmark). From the looks it has easily 150k+ Vertices.
I tried to reverse engineer it a little bit. It seems to be hosted or created via http://playcanv.as/ and uses ktx2 textures. But this cannot be all. I have never achieved this good performance with a complex model like this.

I tried to find out if it uses WebGPU but I am not sure.

Do you have any ideas what makes it so smooth?

    Hi,

150k polys is not quite a deal nowadays, while KTX or WebGPU won’t make any difference with this kind of models. The only thing that may affect performance is complexity of materials. In Verge3D we try to reproduce Blender/Max/Maya native node system hence the performance suffers a bit, but also the user have greater flexibility for optimizations! Check out these guides if you need more instructions (one, two, three).
