    Hi,

so I’m trying to create a limiter on the horizontal rotation.
Basically, the Verge-settings in Blender give me unlimited horizontal camera rotation around my object. However I want it to be limited to 180° once a new object slides into the scene.
While this is a simple Event-setup – after the lock has been activated, the camera snaps to different perspectives/angles when zooming in or out. It’s a very basic setup with an if-Event and then “set orbit max horizontal angle” to 180° and the “min angle” to 0°.
Also when I set the “set orbit max horizontal angle” to infinity, the snapping keeps happening.
There is no snapping in the base file without any puzzles.
I hope the question is understandable.

Can you share your example file with puzzles.

Not sure how to implement the puzzle though so I screenshotted it.
    Hope this works.
After clicking on the plane, the three cubes move and the horizontal rotation is locked to 180°. When you zoom in or out the Cam snaps to different angles.

What you mean under infinity? To unlock horizontal limits you need to set min to 0 max to 360.

When you first load in the “orbit max horizontal angle” puzzle it is set to “infinity” by default.
So basically I am trying to change the camera rotation after an action happens. At first I want to be able to move around the object completely but once the cubes move forward I want the camera movement to be locked to only 180° horizontally.
However when I use the “orbit max horizontal angle” and “orbit min horizontal angle” to limit camera movement, the view snaps to different and unwanted angles when I zoom in or out.

Sorry_can’t reproduce this on a new file. All works fine. Can you share your example (the whole app with blend file and puzzles).

Sorry, I’ve tried it again and it seems I forgot to save the puzzles.

After pressing on the plane, the cubes move forward and the camera movement is limited to 180° horizontally. While that works fine, when you try zooming after the limit, the camera view jumps to different perspectives.

Hve you tried to upgrade to the last version (4.0 pre1) of the engine?

Just tried it. The cam still snaps when zooming in/out after limiting the rotation.

Have you updated the engine app and resaved puzzles? What blender version do you use?

Hi Mikhail, I didn’t know you had to resave the puzzles. Also I had to update the application. Now it works with blender 2.93 and the 4.0 verge3D Version.
Now the cam doesn’t snap/jump after the limit.

Thank you very much for your help! :good:

    Same problem here!

We cannot use unstable/beta versions as our Verge is heavily intergraded with our custom wrapper. First time happened after upgrading to 3.9.1 yesterday, although it did solve the iOS problem, but now this bug appears. The camera just snaps to random locations.
