Hi, once I have my Verge3d/Webgl project up and running in a browser is it possible to select objects and export them as a single obj or fbx file? (or anything else) that my user can download to their system?
    Thanks

You can publish your project on the Verge3d server and send the link to your user so that he can view on any computer.

Yes, but can the user download an fbx or obj file from my application?

    Hi,
it will require a bit of JavaScript programming. See the OBJ exporter example here.

That example works perfectly. I pasted the generated text to Cinema4D which imported the .obj perfectly.

How do I see the code from that example though and also, is there a way to also export materials?
    Thanks

To see the code of this example simply click on the bottom right button. As for materials, you can try using glTF exporter combined with glTF-compatible materials.

That’s real interesting with the obj downloader.
    Great for customized configured objects.

Also, if the object is not changed at all, you could just have a click link to downloading an original object in your directory.

Yep, perhaps we need to implement some puzzles doing such thing…
