CustomerHi, I have a Maya project with multiple animations following a path along a spiral. I can export the unbaked version into Verge3D, however, the baked version (which is necessary to attach the animations to the spiral) does not export. Do you have any suggestions of things I could try? I’ve reduced file size, tried to export portions, and baked it at different intervals, but haven’t had any luck. Thank you for your help!

StaffHi,
the problem is that animation of the environment material is not supported, but you can change the material parameters
with puzzles:set value
,get value
, etc. See this page for more information.Verge3D Developer

CustomerHi, thank you for your suggestions. I replaced the environment material and was able to open the project in Verge3D. However, the animations following the spiral aren’t working. In Maya, the cubes move up the spiral but in Verge3D they are static, even when baked. Do you have any suggestions for this issue?

StaffCAn you explain how it made? Planes parented to the spiral or somehow else?

StaffHi,
the “motion path” constraint is causing an animation issue, you have to bake its animation (spiral motion animation), not the animation of the constraint’s parameter.Attachments:

CustomerHi Mikhail and Nurgeldi,
Thank you for your help!
My earlier version has photos (cubes with materials) baked to a motion path. Due to your suggestion, I’ve baked the cubes to the spiral, however, two issues are still occurring. First, only the cubes that are visible in the first frame are showing up. Second, once the cubes that can be seen in Verge3D get to the end of their animation, they continue the animation in reverse.2022-05-04 at 7:02 am #51629Mikhail Luzyanin
StaffHow the animation of giding and showing made? if it’s not just moving the cubes outside the view or material animation it will not work.

CustomerThank you for confirming that the Maya visibility feature won’t work. I’ll try to figure out how to do it in puzzles. Thanks!
