I was quite happy to discover that verge 3D supports shape keys, but I found that changing the material of objects with shape keys presented a small problem (it doesn’t work) to see what I mean try changing the color back and forth of the pronator quadratus and then try with the palmaris longus. It only changes once for the palmaris longus while I am expecting it to behave more like the muscles that aren’t animated with shape keys

You you apply a material from one object to another (with shapekeys) first object from which you apply the material must have s too, event just empty (dummy) shapekeys.

Hmm, I am not sure that was the problem as it didn’t fix it, however I figured out a work around. (It involved making a lot of materials)

when assigning a new material to a mesh you will lose the previous material if it’s not used on some other mesh (GC will dispose of it very quickly). that’s why you must have an invisible dummy object colored with materials that are supposed to be changed. and it doesn’t matter if a mesh has shape keys or not.

Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.
