I am using this project for live server testing. This is a large project so you may be staring at a black screen for a few moments while it loads (no pre-loader working yet). Also, it requires some good GPU power.

Ceres is the largest asteroid in the asteroid belt. Officially classified as a dwarf planet, it is also the most photographed asteroid. The Dawn spacecraft has taken numerous pictures while in orbit over the the moon-like surface. I used over 1000 images from the NASA JPL Archives to compile a 3D model using Pix4D.
Then with Blender and Verg3D, I made this scene. No coding was required for this. I used an equirectangular image (8192 X 4096) UV mapped to a sphere for the skybox. Most of the file size is due to the extremely dense mesh on the Ceres model. The whole point of this was to pull out surface detail, so I didn’t want to decimate it. It also server the purpose of testing large objects.
