I have installed Verge3D for Blender 4.7. My Blender version is 4.2.1. When I create a new project in the Verge3D app manager, I can run the HTML file with no problem. However, if I modify the Blender file (e.g., by removing the default mesh and adding a simple Blender cube mesh) and export it to glTF, the HTML file won’t run anymore. A new download popup appears, and it gets stuck in the loading phase.

I’ve also exported the GLB file. Unlike the gltf file, It can be opened as scene viewer. Still, I can’t run the app. I don’t know what is wrong!

The funny thing is that If I don’t remove the default cube everything is alright. I mean I can add other meshes and the program still runs. How ever If I remove the default cube, the issues appear. I don’t know if its only me facing this issue or this is how the verge3d works (only if the default cube is in the scene)

I would truly appreciate it if someone helps me.

Based on what you are stating I have to make some guesses and you will have to let me know if any of this makes any sense or not.

If you create a V3D project “MyTestProject”. V3D will create a project folder called MyTestProject and within it is a blend file called “MyTestProject.blend”.

If you run the HTML file MyTestProject.html by using the HTML button in the App Manger all works.

If you open the MyTestProject.blend file in Blender you get the default V3D cube. If you delete this and replace it with a Blender default cube….then you export the file as a Verge3D GLTF…not a GLB or any other GLTF type and you ensure the name of the GLTF is MyTestProject.gltf. This should work with no issues.

    Key things…
    – make sure the Verge3D plugin/addon is enabled in blender preferences
    – make sure to export as “Verge3d GLTF” not any other
    – make sure your GLTF file name is “MyTestProject.gltf”
    – make sure you are saving your GLTF to the App Manager application folder.

Thank you for your reply Xeon. I’ve followed the exact steps you outlined countless times. Just as you mentioned, I modify the MyTestProject.blend file by removing the default Verge3D cube and adding Blender’s default cube. Each time, I export the scene as a Verge3D GLTF, making sure to name it MyTestProject.gltf and save it in the application folder. However, the HTML file still doesn’t work.

I’ve reinstalled both Blender and Verge3D numerous times, even trying different versions of each, but the issue persists. This is such a basic process, and I have no idea why it’s not working. It’s driving me crazy.

To ensure I’m doing everything correctly, I exported the scene without modifying the default Verge3D cube, and it worked fine. So, the issues you mentioned, like exporting to the wrong directory or with an incorrect file name, aren’t the problem.

The strangest part is that everything works as long as the default Verge3D cube remains in the scene. The moment I remove it, the app breaks.

When I open the HTML file from the app manager, a download window appears for the new .bin file, and then it gets stuck in the loading phase indefinitely.

As a programmer myself, I’m confident there’s nothing wrong on my end. I really need some technical support here.

Just show the console log. Press F12.

Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.

The browser console doesn’t show any error. The only console message is: Verge3D 4.7.0 for Blender (Trial, WebGL 2.0).

Really? You don’t see the reason? Disable your download manager  Or add .bin to exclusions…
