    Hi all,

As the title says I am trying to copy the “X” and “Z” location but not “Y” of one object to another, I have tried using blender constraints but turning off individual directions doesn’t work

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    get location, set location.

    Working perfectly on my side.

Puzzles and JS. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of meaning at all.

I used a work around of creating a procedure with get location, set location.
I have a large amount of controls which affect a group of objects and I needed those affects to be reflected in those objects copies

Not sure why the blender constraints aren’t working for me

Just had another go with constraints in a fresh app, I have 2 cubes.
The constraint works in the sense that Cube 1 only copies the X and Z of cube 2 but then I am unable to change the Y location of Cube 1

How do you try to change it? with puzzle or animation?

Just with a set position puzzle

    Hi,
Thank you for bringing this up. Indeed, the constraint does not allow setting coordinates separately. I’m going to add a new issue to our TODO list.

A simple replacement for CopyLocation constraint.
