Hi! I have published an application in WordPress. It has a feature that the user can save his configuration – once the configuration is made, a special parameter is added to the URL with CyberFox’s plugin. So the user receives this link with an email and can come back to the configuration later on.
What if I would like to update the application in the future, and let’s say, add some more colors available for the user. If I would upload the application by clicking “Add New” in the Verge3D Plugin for WordPress, then I get a new application ID, which is saved to the URL. And the problem here is that the old user, by clicking his configuration link (made in an old app version) will be directed to the old version of the application instead of the newest update. Do you have any idea on how to safely update the old application with new features? Or preferably have both in WordPress (for safety and backup), but redirect the old link to the newest version?
I know I can update individual files that changed in cPanel File Manager, but I am always afraid to mess up something, so I’m looking for a more secure solution.
