    I am using a 1024px x 1024px normal map in my project.

I have scaled it to 0.01 using texture mapping in blender to get close up details on the object.

Would it be better to bake it to a large 8k map for example. Or keep it as is, in terms of performance?

Well… I am not sure if you question is related to Blender performance or whether its about how that scaling is translated to Verge3Ds performance. I am going to go with the later.

The 1024px image will be far better for V3D than an 8K image so if the 1024px image gives you the detail you want…stick with that.

    Hi Xeon,

I am talking about Verge3D’s performance.

My question is whether scaling the image in blender has an effect on performance.

Attached is a screenshot of my node setup. The image is scaled to 0.01, so it is repeated over the object 100 times. Using this method I get outstanding close up detail.
