sorry we seem to misunderstand eachother….

    why making an application….

everything is fine when i export as gltf…and there is no problem
    in the application…

but i can export through verge as a GLB file as well…
I need those GLB files for my customer..to be shown within “shopify”

no matter what i do no textures are exported…
i can also see that by the size of the file…its only half the size of the babylon glb export…probably simply because the textures are not exported into the verge3d exported GLB file…

the same thing happens when i export the same 3D data from Blender
    with your GLB export function…

is there some setting i need to do to export the textures…
    i checked everything.

it doesn´t matter whether my material settings are PBR based or legacy.

even when i setup a simple scene with simple materials…

its always just a plain white material

    its really strange.

We couldn’t reproduce the issue neither with the 3ds Max file nor with the glb file that you provided. That’s why it would be helpful to have an example or a test case where it can be reproduced, because otherwise it’s diffcult to tell if there’s something wrong with the engine, or is it a hardware issue, etc…

is there some setting i need to do to export the textures…

No, there’s no such setting, glb files should always get all the textures packed inside.

    Sorry—why a testcase…

i just export the max file as a glb with the verge exporter…

i cannot understand why it works at your place and not here…

I´ve uploaded the latest version of the max file and the textures..

in the materaial editor there you find the PBR and the legacy version
    of the case….

thats all i can supply you with…because i don´t do anything else with it….

as i said exporting the GLTF and all the data works fine.
i need these data for the konfigurator….no problems there

its just the GLB export with verge from within max….

With the babylon exporter its works fine….

But there i have a problem with the black background….
Probably also with the verge exporter…even when it would export the textures.

i also included the exported GLB file again…..

    thanks

Oh, I think I’m starting to understand now. Do you load and view the glb file in Verge3D or in some other GLTF Viewer (like Windows 10 default 3D Viewer software)?

    Hi there,

i load it in any viewer or in shopify

Ah, yes, that’s why you don’t see any textures.

Verge3D exports 3d data in the standard GLTF 2.0 format, but also extends it with additional features, like node-based materials or some specific camera/light settings. Those features are not supported by other gltf viewers and that’s why you can see the difference. But this is related to both the GLTF and GLB export, so I’m not sure why you have issues only with GLB.

For Physical Materials in 3ds Max you can try to enable the “glTF 2.0 Compatible” option:

There’s also a bit more information about that in the FAQ:

    Ok…thats why…..

With GLTF i have no problems because with this format i stay within
    the verge Surroundings…say…no external viewers..etc etc…
i use it for further use with puzzles etc…..to create things.

the GLB format i need for external use in “Shopify”

for this one i stay with the babylon exporter…its fine for that.

and the thing with the black background seems to be a “shopify” issue
as well…..Thanks a lot for trying to help..

Yeah, that makes sense. Glad this cleared up! Good luck with the Configurator project!
