    That’s true!

Verge has these capabilities & possibility, just need to rethink over its return values.
Its like a person needs to by a military tank for killing a mosquito !

Verge is a best set of tools which can position itself in market against these high costly applications.

Visualizer…. it may seem that I like to contradict everything you are saying but its not the case. I enjoy and respect your posts. Soft8Soft has stated they get their inspiration of direction from these forums so when ever there is a post that I feel may take Soft8Soft primary away, I like to provide a different perspective to balance things out.

3D object recognition would be great !! If its easy but thats the kicker. To do it well and to make it cross platform is a big deal. Companies like Vuforia know and have strong IP and patents to insure they have the market very cornered. The overall problem with XR in general is that the market is segmented in what it allows to ocur on its devices. Apple is very restrictive and Android is not. Developing mobile apps for public consumption and professionally supported…means finding a solution that allows you to develop once and deploy in both arenas. Unfortunately in the webgl world Apple and Android just dont see eye to eye. XR on Apple works but getting users to engage with having to download an XL viewer…its just not worth the effort for a user and not worth developing or paying for as a client when you already off put half your customer base. Until this problem is resolved I dont think we are going to get alot of necessity for AR, MR, XR. And its not a Soft8Soft issue its a bigger outside of their hands.

I think if Soft8Soft soft can provide the functionality easily and efficiently…and make the features not required to be created in the basic build process of a v3d app…then why not but if takes a lot of effort, that effort could be making the base functions of the app that much better. Improving its core foundation and updating its code base to be ready for the evolution to WebGPU.

Sirhc….Verge3d is a great tool. It does a lot of things very well, but it will never do everything you need as a developer. Just like you don’t keep one tool in your tool box and expect it to cut wood, weld and hammer in nails….we can’t expect V3D to do everything we as a developer can imagine. At some point you have to find other tools that fit in your tool box and with good choices you can integrate them into your V3D workflow.

    Xeon,
If it is like you mentioned, then there is no reason for V3D to even portray the Example of AR or the VR. When we see them we surely feel that, keeping little things added as necessary time to time would keep the v3D’s versatile range alive.
Especially AR example is very basic and image recognition to pop up digital asset on it, I don’t think its somebody’s proprietary invention or patented thing that V3D can’t include.
What we are trying to convey to developer team is the features already included in V3D can be improvised to some convincing level by adding little little modules.
Of course every software tool developer team would consider the feed back from users much seriously.
Why we worried about Vuforia like tools so badly? I just heard Vuforia but never used it or don’t think if they have occupied the whole world of AR, VR, MR or XR related patents so badly that no one else can do without their consent or royalty.
Moreover I also have suggested Verge to see of such small small features they might think of charging some price for users to include in their existing Verg set. Exactly like V3D’s specialized materials set.
