In blender, I have a curve with shape keys and I have animated the value of the shape keys.

When I export my glTF and load it with Verge3D, the shape keys don’t exist.

The object doesn’t show up as having any animations (doesn’t appear in selection list of the “play animation” puzzle.

The object shows “no targets” when I select it in the “set morph factor” puzzle.

I tried animating the shape keys of a mesh instead of a curve in the same project, and those shape keys come through just fine, so it seems to be an issue specifically with curves.

Blender curve support is highly desired a feature in Verge3D but its only sparingly supported: Follow Path curves as an example.

Shape keys in Verge3d only work on meshes.

This should be mentioned in the docs (this page) https://www.soft8soft.com/docs/manual/en/blender/Morphing.html

    Perhaps a heading like so:

    # Compatibility
Currently Verge3D only supports shape keys for meshes. Shape keys applied to curves are not compatible.

    The documentation states:

“Shape Keys (called Morphing in Verge3D) is a feature which allows you to modify mesh objects”

Although they did not state curves are not supported they clearly stated what is supported and thus everything else is excluded.

Generally speaking….with all things Verge3D. Test your concept first before by creating a simple prototype for things you are not sure Verge3D can do before creating the real project. You will save yourself a lot of otherwise wasted time. Just a friendly suggestion.
