Hi. I’am giving lectures in Cartoon & Animation programs as former 3d artist and i’v just re-started learning verge3d for my personal projets and my classes. I am trying to create a hobby project but i could not figured it out how to do that.

I’v created a cinema4d scene’s video record to prototype my goal but i recently started thinking create that inside web. All feedbacks and advises are welcome.

My main purpose is creating an array that controlled by visual sliders to determine count and creating a angle (curve form with curtain value options limited like 1degree 2 degrees 3 degrees 5degrees)

Then i might able to get basic calculiations to measure/counts like i demostrated.

My first attempt in verge3d was creating a plane 50cmx50cm in blender, change pivot point to the edge and dublicate it as parent of the first one and repeat process 20 times.

This way i was able to create first row and able to give slight angle between all parented planes as in sample picture. Then i cloned them 8 times to create a volume. I think i am using wrong way becouse when i tried to rotate panels like i did in video record of cinema4d screen, i was’nt able to rotate each with parented to previous panels. At least i coldn’t find the way in verge3d. So i used blender for parenting, pivot things and created 20 panels for right saide and for left side i used negative value of angle to simulate symetrical curve. The logic was creating tile panels’s angle transforming from the middle of the overal shape. Now i was thinkinh hiding each column (if it possible but object list is full filled with non-identical object names without numerification in verge3d) to get close to my prototype sample video.

As i said before, i almost haev no knowedeg about programming yet. Just a little bit xpress on cinema 4d which is node based. I want to learn and understand logics and puzzles of evrge3d to create similar project for my students.

    Happy verge3d days everyone!

Well…time is limited and this is a unique problem.
There are direct ways you could do this with shape keys and then based on some math make sure you dont allow a user to select a value that is a fraction of a panel. You would not use individual screens…it would just be a single poly and you could use a texture for the grid.

Alternatively….creating a dyanamic cloned based array that can change its pivot point and angle of flex is a unique problem. I have only just started looking at this problem. Perhaps, someone on here will beat me to the solution. But for now just picking away at it between jobs.
