Hi Verge3D,
thank you very much for this great software. We really do appreciate it!
We are currently facing problem with camera, particularly clipping. We do not want users to see “inside” object, its just ugly and seems like error to our customers.
We are able to manually set min/max zoom for camera which seemingly solves this issue when user rotates, zooms and plays around. However using panning he/she can eventually still end up seeing insides – second image is only using zoom and rotation, first image also using panning.
I am not sure how I can solve this definitely, probably some quite complicated intersection of camera near pane position + calculation of object bounding box + automatic zoom restriction.
It would be really, really helpful if you could implement some button “restrict camera to see inside object group xxx” or something like this. I believe this is nice to have functionality for all Verge3D customers.
Would it be possible? Or can you share some tips how I can achieve this functionality?
thank you very much in advance,
Petr Sehnal, Precismo

I believe this is nice functionality for every user of Verge3D app. as this is common practice in all game engines. Could you please discuss if this functionality could be possibly added to development pipeline, please?
2020-11-04 at 8:56 am #35000precismoCustomerIdeal solution would be ability to setup (multiple) bounding boxes manually in scene to which camera cannot see inside. This would allow developers to manually fine-tune free camera movement.

A camera collision would be sooo usefull !"1+1=3... for large values of 1"

Just add constraints (in puzzles) limiting the scene camera’s min distance from pre-defined points (e.g. origins). But this will be bounding spheres )))
Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.
If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.
