Hello,
I am new here and I briefly went through the documentation.
I see in the forums that image sequences are not possible on textures.
So video has to be used.I have a seen Yuri’s comment
“the setup is rather simple: you first assign a texture to your material in Maya. Then export to Verge3D, and in Puzzles editor, use the puzzle replace texture to assign a video. ”I have to make it look like water is flowing over a surface after an event has happened, so I want to animate the normals of the “water” polygon object with a moving texture.
Is there a workflow for this?
Thank-you in advance

Check out what Mikhail said hereIt’s about making a texture atlas of your image sequences and parsing through them using the puzzle setup in the industrial robot example’s puzzle setup that correlates with the easy the material nodes are set up in the project’s blender file.

I’m now looking for how to animate the UV’s of the texture node in Maya and have it play in Verge3d to make water ripple as an animated normal map.I’ve attached an image below.
I’m sure i saw a new feature in verge3D to do this, but I can’t seem to find it.Thanks in advance.

Hi Mikhail,
This is a beautiful example. Incredible that Verge can animate so deeply the nodes of the blender shader. I never would have expected this.
How can we do a good ocean in verge? Is it possible to use the ocean modofoer, or does this not get reflected in an app?
I suppose what I’m asking is, how do we know if a feature of blender is goign to show through in verge? Do we just have to test at randomand hope?

Ocean modifier will not work, but you can bake it to shapekey animation and use it in the engine.
