CustomerHi,
I saw on the forum that we can add alpha anim to meshes and experimented it successfully, however I tried to use the alpha command within a refraction shader and it didn’t work out; any workaround please?

You need to add Value node to ALpha input of the Output (or Materaisl) node and animate the Value node. Animated materials supported only for node materials.

This example was made year ago. Just mix Transparent shader with any other shader (diffuse for example) and connect value to the value of Mixa Shader. Or connect value to Alpha input of Principled BSDF.

A lot of them you can find in the SDK, but just use Set Value Puzzle. It’s simple.

InactiveI try to understand something. Why should I animate transparency Chanel. So I’ve got settings in puzzle and wow, something happens there!, but I think I need to put somewhere coordinates for x, y?
The result of my setting now is funny, the water changes only it transparency and does not move. I add a screenshot. So sorry for all my stupid questions.2019-07-04 at 5:44 pm #16147

Yes you can separate map node on x,y,z chanells then using add node connvet value to the chanell you want to animate and animate value node, then this will work as animated textures.
