MAX 2019.3.4 – Verge 3.5.0
This is assuming this is a verge error as I cannot seem to google and other reference for the error other than verge.
We are having an issue where even with “auto-assign verge params” turned off other users on our team without verge are getting an error on opening files I have touched.
(see below and attached image)
FileName: Scripted Plugin Class: V3DExportSettingsData SuperClass: 0x1160This is also causing issues with Deadline on our render farm. The files just continuously throw errors. We are testing telling deadline to ignore missing dlls in the interim.
I have tried “remove verge params” script with no luck with regard to this specific error. It appears to remove params but not whatever this is.
This is at present a critical problem as we have jobs that need to be completed very soon and any assistance is appreciated. I am also worried that any of our asset file I have touched may have this issue affecting anyone using those same assets from our asset library.

2021-01-11 at 9:32 pm #37249dman3dCustomerI merged a files exhibiting the issue into a new file and on exit the attached message.

2021-01-12 at 2:04 pm #37299dman3dCustomerof course this morning I cannot re-create the error. So I hope this means clean up did the trick or whatever worked. I will have a co-worker also load the file on another machine without verge to see the result.
2021-01-12 at 2:25 pm #37300dman3dCustomerIt appears the clean up file worked or at least something did. The co-worker is reporting the file opens with no errors for him. I confirmed this opening the same file on another machine without verge.
Thanks for the help. If for any reason this recurs will post to this thread.
2021-01-12 at 2:38 pm #37303dman3dCustomerIs there a way to launch MAX with Verge suppressed? Where I can have two ways to launch max, with and without verge loaded on the same machine without uninstall/reinstall?
2021-01-12 at 3:34 pm #37312Alexander KovelenovStaffGlad it helped! To completely disable Verge3D you can temporary remove path to Verge3D plugin in Max system paths and restart 3ds Max. Anyway, I’m going to add such disabling feature to our TODO list.

I have some updates regarding this issue. From now on you can use the cleanup script to remove Verge3D traces from your Max scenes (even if you have no Verge3D installed). Just drag-and-drop this script to your scene. -
