I have been considering Verge3d for a while now for creating small video game demos as a hobby. Would Verge 3D be a good tool for this? I am considering either an illustrated point and click game or a 3rd person game similar to Tunic with basic 3d geometry. I am a non-programmer and the puzzle logic makes a lot of sense to me and I enjoy programming interactions with this however I find blueprints or visual scripting in other game engines very difficult as I don’t come from a programming background (3D design). Has anyone ever developed a game using verge 3d?

I am a non-programmer and wondered if there was an easy way using puzzles to create picture in picture effect? I need 2 realtime video feeds. This would be very handy if it was a puzzle and you could specify a second camera.

Video games….can it be done…absolutely. I believe you will find users on the forum who have and who may be in then process of creating a video game. From simple sliders to first person shooters…its been done. There are a few on the V3D asset store: Car Racing Game, Farmers Journey, Physics demo (pinball game) and Snow Balls VR. You may want to open up the projects and review how they all work.

Picture in Picture Effect – there is a nice little plugin you might want to try:

Those games are great. Excited to see some more examples as well if there are some more in development. I used Spline recently and it had a really handy character creator feature where you could load in your character and it would setup a character controller very easily. Something like this would be great for Verge and make games more accessible for the non-programmer types like me.

That plug in looks very handy as well. Will have to give that a try. Thanks for the link.
