What is the difference between verge3d for Blender, maya and max

Does a particular integration have more features?

The difference is mainly in add-ons for those programs. v3d.js is practically the same for all of them.

Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.

are the example projects the same between add-ons?

    Hi Tom,

We try keeping our demos consistent between the supported softwares. There are occasionally discrepancies due to legacy stuff. Anyway, any kinds of applications can be successfully created using either of the 3D tools.

If you are trying to decide which 3D platform to learn and or develop V3D on, I recommend Blender. It’s free which is great but why pay for tools that can produce the same result. Lastly look at the activity and number of threads in the Verge3d blender section vs Maya and Max. The blender community is far more active on the Verge3d forum.

Thanks for the replies. I use Max, Maya, and Blender and have 19 years of experience. It’s more about seeing which has the best plugin advantage.

One thing I noticed with 3ds Max is that when you’re not using Verge 3D, the menus feel bloated with Verge options, which did throw me off a bit when modelling. Is it possible to temporarily hide Verge options when doing other tasks, such as modelling? The menus are great when working with verge but in the way when doing other tasks

Hi, I think you might use 3ds Max’ menu editor for this.

The best choise will be to learn Blender it has more dipper support in material node system and has less difference between viewport and Verge3D final scene, the worst choice will be 3ds max because it has some problem with transparency and has more difference between viewport (render) and final result in Verge3D. Maya also will be a good choice.

I’ve used verge3D for Maya now for a few years, and are contemplating switching to Verge for blender. Mainly because of the easy way to set up UVs to object mapping to objects with shape keys. I haven’t found a way to hinder tectures from stretching on objects with blendshapes in Maya.
