RGB and Value nodes in my materials does not get shown with their real (renamed by me) names. They are only called “RGB” or “RGB.001” or “Value”, not the names I give them like “RGB Diffuse” or “Roughness”.
This is getting quite confusing on more complicated materials in my configurator.

Value Nodes…have a “name” and a “label” option in Blender. The “name” property is used when you use the set value in material puzzle. You select the material…then the “named” value will be displayed. Can you provide a screen shot of the nodes you are having issue with? Are you trying to access them in puzzles or via code?

You are totally right, renaming them by menu or F2 sets the Label and not the Name, that was my error. V3D is using “Name” and works like it should, thank you a lot.
