When using ambient occlusion, I get bad aliasing. It looks to me as if the AO is applied after the pixels have been calculated. I cannot use baked occlusion since this is a dynamic model.
What can I do to improve the quality?

I really wish there was a good solution. There are so many problems with AO in verge. It often cause objects that should not be affected to look as if noise is is being overlayed as a post process is being applied. It can cause double sided materials to look transparent… and more.

Only solution I have found is to not use it.

    Actually, nothing.

Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.

Is this still an issue with the latest release? 4.5.1? I’ve put off updating to the new blender because of the issues I’ve been seeing being reported on it.

I have not gone back and tested every combination of Blender and V3D but antialiasing issues and overlay noise issue hasn’t changed in quite a while. But B3D 4.0.1 and V3D 4.5.1 yield similar results as they have in the past with some some unique difference as it relates to double sized Z-fighting objects/materials.

I think we all want AO to work but for the most part its still unusable.
