    Hello there,
I’m now still using Verge3D 3.9.1, as i have some customers that are always adding some options to their configurators.
I’d like to update to 4.0.1, but i’m a bit affraid of some things that would not behave the same way.
I don’t want my customers to react with a potential : “Rendering has changed, not acceptable”…

Does someone know what to fear about from 3.9 to 4.0 ?
So i can estimate if my projects in progress would be affected by this major update.

    Many thanks.

I’d recommend to backup your projects before updating to v.4, so that you could compare their renderings. You can also show the updated apps to your clients before deploying them.

    Hey
    NaxosCG,

Thx for sharing and also would like to add. I m not sure about 3.9 to 4.0 but I experienced something when upgraded to 3.9.

Some scene objects from previous scene were disappeared in upgraded 3.9 verge version. I had to play a bit and then somehow I could fix one file but later even I forgot how I did it.
Look the image if I click gltf file then it looks like this & when I click html it looks like this. This is from the app manager.
Some object ( golden tap & pipe) disappear when viewed from html clicking.

Any specific fix for such thing?

    Regards

at least you’ll have to re-export your 3D models to be fully compatible with new v3d.js if you’re planning to modify visual_logic.js in the future. If not just don’t touch them (don’t update them in the App manager) and they will work fine with the old engine. All other features work as usual…

Puzzles and JS coding. Fast and expensive.

If you don’t see the meaning in something it primarily means that you just don’t see it but not the absence of the meaning at all.
