I just added annotations to a bunch of objects (approx. 150 objects) and had to see, that the performance drops quite heavy for my application.

I just wondering if this is normal expected behaviour?

Do youbhave any object with shapekeys or armature animation in the scene?

No. No animation at all in the scene. Except simple translation animation via verge.

A lot of mesh in the scene? How much triangles?

Not really, these are the stats for that particular view:

    Render Calls: 150
    Triangles Rendered: 196508
    Geometry Buffers: 639
    Textures & Render Buffers: 26

Just to be clear. The performance only drops when I display all annotations at the same time.

I created a sample. See attached.

150 annotation it’s too much for one scene. Try to display them partially or replace with mesh objects that looks directly into the camera like it done in Scooter Configurator.

Okay, so what I already suspected.

I’ve already gone the road of creating mesh objects with textures. Works so far for my purpose.

    But thx for the lookup.
