3ds Max Machinery Material Pack

Long time ago we released the Essential Material Pack which turned out to be a very popular product. However, looking at the typical Verge3D app we could clearly see the demand in a specialized material library that we are now happy to satisfy.

We called the new asset pack “Machinery”, but this name should be understood in a broader context as it can be used for various industries:

  • automotive/vehicles
  • home appliances
  • engineering and construction
  • airspace
  • shipbuilding
  • agriculture and mining
  • transportation and warehousing
  • machine tools and manufacturing
  • electrical equipment and power generation
  • robotics
  • and many more!

The pack includes 69 materials, as well as 3 HDRi environment maps carefully tweaked for maximum visual quality. It is fully compatible with 3ds Max Material Editor to allow for simple drag-and-drop production pipeline.

You can see how it works in this video:

Essential Material Pack Updated

We also overhauled the original collection of 3ds Max materials, almost doubling its set! Most new materials are intended for architecture and civil engineering uses, both for internal and external environments. We also added several fabric shaders. For your convenience, we put all the items into categories on the product page.

Besides, all the materials in this pack have been optimized to faster loading and reduced texture space. They now use OSL nodes for better compatibility with the Arnold renderer.

Availability and Pricing

Both the Essential and the Machinery Material Packs are compatible with 3ds Max 2024 or later. The libraries are modestly priced at 90 US dollars (one-time payment). If you already own the Essential pack you can just download the updated version from your dashboard for free.
